The fourteenth annual get together of the the JLA and the JSA guest-stars the Fawcett heroes from yet another parallel world — Earth-S. It seems King Kull, arch-enemy of The Marvel Family, has frozen the Shazam gods to prevent Billy and Mary Batson and Freddy Freeman from calling forth the magic lightning bolts — and they cannot prevent Kull from threatening Earth's I, II and S,. Mercury, the only one to escape King Kull's trap, rounds up heroes from three worlds: Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Hawkman and Hawkgirl from Earth I; Batman, Robin, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Johnny Thunder from Earth II; and from Earth-S he corrals Ibis The Invincible, Mr. Scarlet, Pinky, Spy Smasher, Bulletman and Bulletgirl.
