"Captain Marvel and The Curse of Ibac"
Scrawny "Stinky" Printwhistle had planted a bomb to blow up an oncoming train and loot it. Captain Marvel prevented the attack and threw Printwhistle from the train bridgeto the rocks below! Printwhistle faced certain death but was saved at the last minute by Prince Lucifer. The devil struck a bargain with Stinky. If Printwhistle agreed to give up his immortal soul, he would be granted the power of four of the most evil men who have ever lived: Ivan the Terrible, Borgia, Attila the Hun, and Caligula! By saying the acronym "IBAC" (formed from the initials of the fearsome foursome), Printwhistle transformed into the mighty Ibac in a conflaguration of green flame. Where Stinky once stood, a man of immeasurable power had taken his place.

"Crisis in Eternity!"
Ibac, in his alter ego of Stanley 'Stinky' Printwhistle, was one of the many residents of Captain Marvel's home town to be trapped in Dr. Sivana's dastardly Suspendium globe. Not long after his twenty year hibernation, Printwhistle was seduced by his evil pantheon into once again transforming into the brutish Ibac.
Ibac joined with the villainous King Kull is a bid to re-conquer the lost continent of Atlantis. Ibac stood with Blockbuster and the Penquin of Earth-One and battled Spy Smasher, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow. The quick thinking Spy Smasher was able to trick the doltish Ibac into saying his own name which caused the green flames to consume and transform Ibac back into his mortal guise of 'Stinky' Printwhistle.

Post-Crisis On Infinite Earths

Ibac returned in the DC Universe as a muscle-man under the control of Aunt Minerva, also known as Lady M. He was easily defeated by Captain Marvel.
